Anything Ibiza can do, Mallorca can do better...

The people who brought you the sell-out festival in Ibiza have now discovered that Mallorca has got what it takes to do them proud and they have taken over one of Magalluf's most renowned hotels to bring some of the hottest live acts to us this Summer.

'Mallorca Rocks' its way in to Summer 2010 with an opening act that first appeared on the scene in Ibiza, at Ibiza Rocks in their very first season – The Kooks featuring Zane Lowe. They will be headlining on Sunday June 6th 2010 and they are the first of a long-line of acts that will be drawing the crowds to Mallorca this year.

The Brighton lads have been 'Rocks' faves right from the get-go; their 2006 debut 'Inside In/Inside Out' catapulted them to the forefront of the UK scene with its trademark flawless indie pop, shifting a massive 2 million plus copies worldwide. Since then they've rung up sell-out shows in the UK, America and all over the world, even earning a support slot with the legendary Rolling Stones. Their second album Konk took the band's sound to new heights in 2008 and right now the world's pretty much theirs for the taking.

Scottish sensation Calvin Harris may hail from Dumfries, but his spiritual home is surely Ibiza - when he created disco with his 2007 gold-selling debut 'I Created Disco' he shook up the drab dance music scene in the UK and injected it with a much-needed dose of fun. With instant classics like 'Acceptable in the 80s' and 'The Girls' it surely seemed like the DJ/singer/producer had peaked already - but that was before he became a genre-straddling collossus of modern pop with the effortless cool of Dizzee Rascal collaboration 'Dance Wiv Me', and then conquered the charts for a second time with his awesome 2009 follow-up 'Ready for the Weekend'.

Dizzee Rascal has risen from being the UK Grime scene's most gifted challenger to the de facto Heavyweight Champion of the British charts. A glittering run of Number 1 singles makes his position unquestionable and he's back for yet more fun in the sun this year. If you thought 'Holiday' sounded good on your iPod - wait till your hear it booming live out of our massive soundsystem as hundreds of like-minded revellers dance along with you in the Mallorcan heat.

Antipodean bass monsters Pendulum are back for yet another great season - well, it just wouldn't be Ibiza Rocks without 'em! These boys really know how to bring the noise - and no mistake.
Make sure you're in the area when their unrivalled block-rocking beats bring the whole goddam house down.
